Arnold J. Clark passed away on Saturday March 30, 2013 at his home in Albany, NY under Eric's ever watchful and doting care and Hospice after losing his one year battle with lymphoma.
Born April 30th, 1962 to Howard J Clark and Dorena (Howard), in Plattsburgh, NY.
Arni worked as a laboratory technician at CVPH in Plattsburgh and in various facilities in the Albany region, most recently at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady where he was a supervisor.
Arni will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his willingness to help anyone, and his ability to belch on command and LOUDLY to the amusement of those young at heart. One of his passions was to bring people together through his culinary skills. Arni loved animals and always had several around; cats, dogs, ferrets, and his salt water fish aquarium.
Arni loved to travel. His most recent excursion, a 14 day cruise, ended on the island of Barbados, where he developed complications from his chemotherapy treatment and required emergent medical evacuation back to Florida. As a result, Eric restricted his future travel to an area not to exceed 50 miles from Albany unless accompanied by medical personnel. Arni loved to argue this point, mainly to well....argue (another passion of his!).
Arni is survived by his partner Eric Edwards, his mother Dorena (Robert Sayward), sisters Katrina "Tina" (Peter Evens) and Melissa "Missy" (Roger Smith), nieces Jamie (Mike LaBarge), Jennifer (Curtis Seegars), and Chelsey Bourdon (Smith), his great nephew and nieces Matthew, Claire, and Mya, his grandmother Noda Howard, several aunts, uncles, and cousins and his beloved cats.
Arni is predeceased by his father Howard, grandparents Gilbert Howard Sr., Willard and Delia Clark, and several uncles.
In lieu of calling hours and a funeral, Memorial celebrations for Arni will be held Saturday April 6th at the Lewis Fire Hall, Lewis NY at 1:00 pm and at a later date in April in Albany.
