Andre R. Bergeron, 73, of US Route 9 in Lewis passed away unexpectedly Sunday February 2, 2014 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born on August 15, 1940 in Sheldon, VT., son of the late Leon and Bernadette Bergeron.
Andre graduated from ELCS. He was owner and founder of Andre's Truck Stop in Lewis for many years. Andre worked for the NYS Department of Corrections for 25 years retiring in 2001. He also worked for Doug West for several years driving dump truck. Andre enjoyed traveling in his RV.
Andre is survived by one daughter Sabrina Pratt and her husband Bradley of Idaho Falls, ID., one grandson Joshua Pratt of Idaho Falls, ID., two step sons Merk Brockwell and his wife Teri of Keeseville, Brian Brockwell and his wife Kim of Newtown, PA., one niece Lorraine Bergeron of Westport and Larry Bergeron and his wife Pam of Fl.. He is predeceased by his wife Lorinda Bergeron, a son Rene Bergeron and his brother Jerry Bergeron.
Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday February 6, 2014 at W.M. Marvins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM in the W.M. Marvins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at a later date in St. Elizabeth's Cemetery in Elizabethtown.
