Kathryn H. Tromblee 89, a resident of Mineville, NY passed away April 27, 2013 with her loving family at her side.
Kathryn was born in Dannemora, NY on January 23, 1924 daughter of Maude and Arthur Young.
Kathryn is predecesed by her husband Willis Tromblee, daughters Louise (Tromblee) Smith and Patrica Tromblee, brothers Paul and Thomas Young, sisters Anne Annis and Audrey Ottara.
Kathryn survivors include her sister Elizabeth Young, daughter Lora Clark of Moriah, Katrinka Tromblee of Witherbee, Debra Walsh of Port Henry, Katie Clark and husband Tim Clark from Elizabethtown, sons - Charles and Willis Tromblee of Saranac Lake, Peter Tromblee and wife Penny of Lewis. Kathryn is survived by 21 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren.
Kathryn loved her family and friends, cards, bingo and to find word puzzles.
Visiting was her favorite passtime.
Kathryn strengthes came from always being true to herself and saying what was on her mind.
In 1928 Kathryn - a four year old wss lost on Poke-O'-Moonshine while Blueberry picking and spent the night in the woods - while search parties looked for her- she niver lost her agate berry cup.
A special thanks to the many loving caregivers at the Horace Nye Nursing Home. Donations can be made to the Bingo fund in the activities department at the Horace Nye in Kathryns memory.
Calling hourse were held on Monday April 29, 2013 6-8pm at HFH in Port Henry. Funeral Mass at St. Peter-Paul was held Tuesday at 10:00am Burial Parish Cemetary.
